The Seed
The Seed starts with our Super Dupa loaf, which blends whole grain flour, spelt, millet, rye flakes, barley flakes, quinoa, chia seeds, amaranth, teff, buckwheat, and sorghum. But then we top it with an additional medley of seeds, providing a nutty richness that is the perfect addition to any sandwich.

1 Milford St., Upton. Tell them your name. Bread comes home. Cookies might not make it that far.

Petal & Crumb is a florist and boutique in downtown Upton. They've been kind enough to host all of our weekend pickups in their shop. Stop in for bread, leave with a houseplant, possibly a candle.

Who we are
It started with one good loaf and a cat named Nancy Bean.
Black Cat Baking Company is a micro-bakery run out of a small kitchen in Upton, Massachusetts. Every loaf is shaped by hand. Every cookie is scooped, weighed, and baked in small batches. The cat does not knead the dough, but she would absolutely like to.
