Who we are

Black Cat Baking Company, LLC ("Black Cat Baking Company," "we," or "us") is a small micro-bakery in Upton, Massachusetts. Pickup and operations run out of Petal & Crumb, 1 Milford St., Upton, MA 01568. You can reach us at orders@blackcatbakingcompany.com.

Information we collect

When you use our website or place an order, we collect:

• Your name (first and last)
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional, used only to reach you about an order)
• Your order details (items, quantities, pickup day, and amount paid)
• Basic usage data such as IP address and browser or device type, through Google Analytics, and only if you accept analytics cookies

Payment card details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. If you create an account to view your order history, your sign-in details are handled by Supabase, our authentication provider.

How we use your information

• To take payment for and fulfill your order
• To send order confirmation, ready-for-pickup, and refund emails
• To answer questions you send us
• To send weekly menu announcements, but only if you sign up for our newsletter
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers we share with

We work with a small number of trusted third-party companies that help us run the bakery and the website. We share only what each one needs to do its job, and they may use your information only to provide that service to us. We rely on providers to:

• Host the website
• Store our database and handle account sign-in
• Process payments
• Send order and account emails
• Send the newsletter, but only if you subscribe
• Measure site usage, but only if you accept analytics cookies

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep your cart and sign-in working. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics cookies. You can decline analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and you can reopen that choice at any time from the link in the footer.

How long we keep your data

We keep your order history so we can help you with questions about past orders. Your cart clears when the weekly menu rotates. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email orders@blackcatbakingcompany.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are a Massachusetts resident, your personal information is handled in line with Massachusetts data security regulations (201 CMR 17.00).

Where we operate

We serve customers in the United States only. We are a pickup-only bakery in Upton, Massachusetts, and we do not ship.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version here. Please check back from time to time.
